Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how movewell.co.uk (the "Site" or "we") collects, uses, and discloses your Personal Information when you visit or make a purchase from the Site. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users in accordance with UK data protection laws.

Information We Collect

When you visit the Site, we collect certain information about your device, your interaction with the Site, and information necessary to process your purchases. This includes device information (browser version, IP address, time zone) and order information (name, billing address, shipping address, payment confirmation, email address, and phone number).

The device information we gather helps us keep the Site secure and ensure that pages render correctly across different browsers and screen sizes. It also allows us to recognise returning visitors, distinguish legitimate order traffic from automated activity, and troubleshoot any issues you might encounter while browsing our range of foam rollers, massage balls, or stretching equipment.

Order information is collected at the point of checkout. We only ask for the details required to fulfil your purchase — a shipping address so your resistance bands or yoga mat reach the right destination, a billing address for payment verification, and contact details in case we need to reach you about your delivery. Payment card details are never stored on our servers; they are handled entirely by our certified payment processors.

02

How We Use Your Personal Information

We use your personal information to provide our services to you, which includes: offering products for sale, processing payments, shipping and fulfilment of your order, and keeping you up to date on new products, services, and offers. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

More specifically, your name and address are used to prepare and dispatch your order through our logistics partners. Your email address is used to send you order confirmations, shipping notifications, and customer service correspondence related to a purchase you have made. If you have opted into our newsletter, we may also use your email to share guides on foam rolling exercises, product updates, and information to help you improve flexibility and build a sustainable body stretching routine.

We never rent or sell your contact details to marketing lists. If at any point you wish to stop receiving our newsletter, every email includes an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately.

03

Sharing Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfil our contracts with you, as described above. For example, we use third-party logistics providers to ship your orders and payment processors to ensure secure transactions.

These service providers act on our behalf and are bound by contractual obligations to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify. When a courier delivers your pilates mat or knee support sleeve, they receive your name, shipping address, and phone number — nothing more. Payment processors receive only the transaction details needed to authorise your card.

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, comply with a legal obligation, or respond to a lawful request from UK public authorities.

04

Data Retention

When you place an order through the Site, we will retain your Personal Information for our records unless and until you ask us to erase this information. This is necessary for tax, accounting, and warranty purposes as required by UK law.

Order records — including the items purchased, date, and delivery address — are kept for the period required by HMRC, which is typically six years from the end of the financial year in which the sale took place. Marketing preferences and newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your account. Device and browsing data collected through cookies is managed separately under our Cookie Policy and is generally retained for a shorter period.

05

Your Rights

If you are a resident of the UK or EEA, you have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you, to port it to a new service, and to ask that your Personal Information be corrected, updated, or erased. To exercise these rights, please contact us at [email protected].

You can also ask us to restrict or stop processing your data, object to direct marketing, or withdraw any consent you previously gave. We will respond to your request within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent data protection authority.

Whether you have bought a peanut massage ball, a back support cushion, or simply browsed our mobility tools for seniors, the same rights apply to the information we hold about you as a customer or a visitor.

06

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The date of the last update will be clearly visible at the bottom of this document.

If we make material changes — such as new ways we use your data or new categories of information we collect — we will notify you by email or by placing a prominent notice on the Site before the changes take effect. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
